David is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, the highest designation issued by the Financial Planning Association. David also holds the Fellow Chartered Financial Practitioner (FChFP) designation with the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA).
David’s career commenced in 2003 with a boutique accounting firm. David has worked in and with mid and third tier accounting firms, specialist wealth management practices and general insurance firms dealing predominantly with pre and post retirees, planning for one of the more significant financial events in a clients life, retireing. It can be scary, daunting and confusing. From concerns such as “where is the money coming from and when, to managing superannuation portfolios (retail or SMSF).
David and Alan meet in 2005 while at one of these firms and the relationship has continued on since then either as friends, mentoring and assisting each other or over the last few years working together again.
AUS Financial Advisers was established in 2012.
Aged Care
David also specialises in the complex aged care field, assisting families’ with the often delicate task of transitiong parents into nursing homes and hostels.David can assist with clarifying your situation and helping make the difficult decisions, often around whether to retain or sell the family home.It is important to note that David only meets the Powers of Attorney and not the resident’s entering care due to the complexity of the issues discussed.Meeting the needs, goals and objectives of each client are David’s primary consideration and David’s long term relationships with clients are evidence of this.

Alan Jarrott (Dip. F.P.)
Alan has been assisting clients since 1999. Alan, and AUS Financial Advisers’ vision is to achieve financial security for clients, by following a structured approach to insurance, detailed knowledge of policy wordings and an ability to negotiate terms with underwriters.
This is demonstrated by assisting with understandings of client circumstances and the future goals required to be achieved, which he works with David to provide a holistic approach (David assists with Superannuation, Investments, Aged Care and retirement planning).
Alan has been in the insurance industry since 1999 and has worked in mortgage broking firms, accounting practices and the banks prior to re-embarking on the self-employed world in 2011.
Alan’s main role at AUS Financial Advisers is to assist with claims, negotiate with underwriters and provide valuable experience regarding policy wordings and updates to the team. Paper based application forms are considered by Alan as the most important way of applying for insurances as it captures the whole story of the clients medical and activity based background.
Our arrangements with our preferred insurers allows AUS Financial Advisers to complete applications over the phone (a tele interview), via an internet questionnaire or a paper based application based on your needs.
